LLB. Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland.

Experience:

Thomas has practiced in other areas of law throughout Queensland and joined King & Company as a solicitor in November 2023.  He was admitted in May 2021.

Responsibilities:  

In Planning and Environment matters, Thomas assists with advice to local governments on planning and development, development compliance and enforcement, planning scheme reviews and conducting appeals in the Planning & Environment Court.

In Industrial Relations matters, Thomas assists with drafting documents and advice in relation to the following:

1. Terminating employees and implementing workplace change;
2. Disciplinary action procedures (and drafting associated notices of disciplinary action);
3. The interpretation of certified agreements, the various local government awards and contracts of employment.

Thomas holds a current restricted employee practicing certificate from the Queensland Law Society.
